Including MC-Version-No. in Download-File-Name

Postby piranhaxp » 02 Aug 2013

Dear Support,

please include the version number in the name of the download file. It's not funny to download the file and get it renamed from Windows ending with (1)....(2) or something else or to be forced to rename it in the saving process or whatever, because the file name for all version is the same and I don't know which installation file to use after re-installation, new installation etc etc etc .... Keeps me crazy and I don't get it why, you as a software developing company, don't get it in your current version race !!!???

Current file name : multicharts.8.7.exe (32bit) or multicharts.8.7.x64.exe (64bit)

Proposal : multicharts.8.7.7471.exe or multicharts.8.7(7471).exe or call how you want.

Thank you.

Mike

Thank you for your suggestion. Since the links are used in multiple places and the build numbers will constantly change with any update, we will need to find the optimal solution, but are planning to do this soon.
