Please make non-English characters displayed correctly

Postby 2haerim » 06 Sep 2007

When plotting a chart, the Format Symbol's Description field does not correctly display/handle non-English characters.

MC's Format Symbol dialog does not display Korean characters so users cannot be sure if the symbol is what they are trying to plot.

PL is even worse. When I enter non-English(say, Korean) an error message pops up. I can understand PL is not developed in Unicode, but the problem is that I can NOT close that error message box at all. I just have to kill PL itself. What if I haven't saved my code before that happens? All is gone without being saved. It is terrible.

Please make MC/QM/PL as a unicode version so that they can handle international characters properly.

Hi Haerim,

We are considering making it possible some time in future.

At the moment, I cannot give you any ETA, though.
