Problem with losing "Screen" scaling selection.

Postby jek » 27 Oct 2007

Does anyone else experience repeated loss of the "Screen" scaling selection when using various charts?

It has finally become a big enough annoyance to get around to writing it up.

I haven't found a repeatable example, but my charts are very frequently reverting to some "User defined" scaling selection and I have to click the toolbar button "Reset price scale" very frequently.

It isn't a killer, but it wears you down after a while.

It has been around for a long long time.

Are you using the "Auto Hide" [format window - appearance - title bar - auto hide] option for the title bar?

In MCFX there's a scaling issue that sounds like your problem. Go over to the MCFX forum and look for a thread called "scaling glitch".

Briefly, if you have Auto Hide set for the title bar and you then click on the price scale to make the title bar reappear, the scaling jumps from auto to user defined.

Hope that helps.

That's it! And it is repeatable.

Now I know how to avoid it, thanks.

But it sure would be nice if it got fixed.

I think the perception at TSSupport is that this is not a bug but a feature.

MKlein, thank you so much.

This has made life just that little bit nicer.

But I do look forward to the bug fix so I don't have to remember one more thing.
