Symbol Dictionary Default Session for IQFeed:@ES#

Postby MC_Prog » 28 Oct 2013

Hi.

In MC .Net 8.7.7646.400 (64b) it seems there has been a change to the default symbol dictionary session for the IQFeed symbol @ES#.

These times are new and not as expected:

In the 32b edition the times seem to still be as expected:

Why should these differ?

Is is possible for MC staff to run some automated analysis to determine if there are other differences in the definitions between the 32b and 64b editions?

MC_Prog,

ES sessions were changed by CME back in November 2012. According to CME web site:
Trading Hours. All time listed are Central Time. CME Globex (ETH)
MON – FRI: 5:00 p.m. previous day – 4:15 p.m.; trading halt from 3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

That means the root settings of 64 bit version are correct.
The dictionary that comes with 32 bit and 64 bit MultiCharts is exactly the same. The user modified symbol roots are not replaced upon update of MultiCharts, only new roots are added to the existing user dictionary. That explains why the root of the 32 bit version has not been updated.
