could I only use the Mouse Wheel to zoom in/out not with pressing down the Ctrl key?
because zooming in/out is fast than scrolling the bar.

Hello xiaomajia,

Unfortunately there is no way to do that. Mouse wheel is used for chart scrolling.
That is possible to assign the activation of Zoon In/Out functionality to a keyboard shortcut in MultiCharts->File->Keyboard shortcuts.

Chart scrolling with using mouse wheel is very slow, zoom in/out with mouse pointer is so convenient,just like google map, you can try, using them, you can get a good view of markets from micro to macro sight in only one chart.
If you have used some CAD software such as NX and Catia,you will know that feeling.
