ASCII Mapping

Postby AAY » 30 Nov 2013

Hello

I have 1 min OHLC ASCII files, and I would like to map them using ASCII mapping. The problem is that these files have timestamps for bar open time, while Multicharts works with bar close time. Is it possible to somehow work around this without converting files (I update them regularly)?

Thanks.

Hello AAY,

There is an option "Use bar end time" in the ASCII mapping window (when you click on the file name) that you need to enable in order to treat the opening time as the closing bar time.

Right. Thanks. I was looking for this option but didn't realize I need to actually click the file name.

BTW, can Multicharts handle data for a symbol that is split between several files?

There is no way to do that.
