channel/transparency emulation

Postby arnie » 07 Dec 2013

Until MC management decides to offer transparency tools, here's a way to emulate it.

Image

If the goal is to create simple channels like the one above, go to Format Study - Style - Type and than choose for the upper line Bar High and for the lower line Bar low.
Set the Weight to the highest possible and you'll end up coloring your channel background.

To give that transparency look you'll need to choose the colors that suits the chart background.

If you want to get creative you just plot several versions of the study, where you'll turn ON and OFF the several lines you have there and you end up with something like this:

Careful when zooming in too much, it will ruin the color background effect.

Great tips ! I've been doing the same thing, but we still need the "Transparency tools"... that the other major packages have.
Why not MC ???
They are great for coloring trends, session times, channels etc..
They really help those of us that are "Visual"..
