Today I observed in an automated strategy (running it for the first time in many months) that with MC driving IB TWS an open position was twice announced verbally as "Position Closed".
The strategy code did not (and was not supposed to) close the position at these points, and in fact closing orders were not issued and the position did indeed remain open and ultimately terminate normally.
It is however, disconcerting to hear your open position announced as closed during a live trade.
What MC showed:
What actually happened:
The verbal messages came at the points there the OPT shows the position going flat.
There may have been automated changes to stop levels at these points, if that is relevant.
This message is a heads-up to users to remain cool if they hear "Position Closed" when it should not be, and also a heads-up to MC that this sure seems like a bug!

Hello MC_Prog,
Which version and build number of MultiCharts are you running? (Help tab->About MultiCharts)
Please send me (support@multicharts.com) MultiCharts logs (if you have not restarted MultiCharts - the logs from the previous run are erased on the next start).
In MultiCharts go to Help->Feedback->Send logs.
If you want to collect the logs manually please follow this guide: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... harts_Logs
Please go to Order and Position Tracker Orders tab->make sure no filters are enabled->Right click on any cell->Export to Excel. Please do the same with the Logs and Position History tabs.
Send me the excel files for analysis.

Re: False "Position Closed" announcements
Hello MC_Prog,
Our engineers have studied your case. The reason of excessive lines appearing in Order and Position tracker window Position History tab is caused by using an IB login with multiple accounts under it.
Previously IB was unable to simultaneously provide the account details for all accounts.
That is why we have to switch the accounts via API requests in order to receive the information for each of the accounts.
At the moment IB has provided an updated API with the solution for this behavior, which is being implemented by our developers on our end at the moment.
We are going to release this solution in MultiCharts 9.0 beta 1.
This version should become available later this year.
