Select all, Copy, and Paste in the scanner. You might need an extra step if TWS doesn't allow selecting multiple symbols.

Hi.

Thanks for the quick answer. The scannerwindow in TWS only allows 50 tickers. How do I get a window with all the stocks on my IB subscription?

Don´t I need to export a CSV file to MC or something like that?

Nope, just paste the pile of them right there in the scanner.

Hello Jlonn,

If you have a text file with all symbols you need - you can import it using Import Symbol List feature. Make sure the instrument currency is specified first in the instrument description, it is important for trading with IB broker.

Hey guys.

I have created a CVS file with IB symbols and imported them with success.

I want to use the Pre-scanner in MC to scan thousands of stocks from Interactive Brokers TWS.

Problem:
TWS only allows 100 symbols to sync simultaniously. This makes updates/market import in the Pre-scanner window stop. I get a popup in TWS saying that I am trying to simultaniously load to many markets.
I really dont need simultanious data import from TWS to the Pre-scanner in MC, is there a way to fix this problem? It would be enough with one by one updates to collect data for the scan.

Thanks
/ J

Jlonn, please disable the option “Utilization of cache for real-time price data” in Quote Manager->Tools->Data sources->IB-> Settings. To make this setting come into effect you need to restart MultiCharts and all of its applications.
