EURGBP data on MCFX feed.

Postby continue8 » 20 Feb 2014

EURGBP FOREX data from MCFX seems to be incomplete for some reason.

There is data from the beginning of Jan 2014 and data up to 9/2012 however
between 9/2012 and 1/2014 there appears to be a huge gap in the database.
Most of the other crosses have complete history so this seems strange.

Any reason for this ?

Hello continue8,

Do you have this issue with both tick and minute data or with one of them only?
Are both ask and bid data streams affected?

There is no data before 02 JAN 2014 and after SEP 2012 .

This also effects both ASK and BID data feeds, there is also no tick data.

Often there are bids but no ask data in some of the currencies however
in this case it has effected both.

continue8, we have made sure on our end that all data is available on MCFX servers and can be accessed in MultiCharts. Please reload the charts with data gaps: Reloading charts.

I have tried to reload the EURGBP data again today however it still says there is no
data from 09/2012 to January 2014 both bid and ask although there is more bid data.

continue8, in MultiCharts please go to File tab->Preferences->Data server mode;
Make sure you are in online mode, "download missing historical data" is enabled.
Then try the following:
1) close MultiCharts;
2) start QuoteManager;
3) In QuoteManager highlight all MCFX symbols->make a right click on any MCFX instrument->Clear Cache;
4) close QuoteManager;
5) make sure all processes are finished;
6) start MultiCharts and plot the chart you need;
7) reload the chart if the data is not backfilled.

If that does not help you can also delete/rename the existing problem symbol and add a new one.

If this solution didn't help and you still have the issue-please come to our live chat Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 3 pm EST.
