Hi,
It's a great pleasure to see many new features and improvements in the newly released MC8...great work, keep it up MC team!
It's nice to see the newly implemented DOM window, it seems everything imaginable is there but one...however, this missing one made me have to give up on relying DOM for its nice and quick one-click order submission: the instrument selection.
The instrument selection of the current version is via instrument selector, which basically provides two choices: search thru a long list of all the instruments in QM or you may type in the symbol, neither would fit the hectic day-traders life if you have more than half dozen of instruments to monitor on a short intra-day chart such as 1m, 5m, or 15m.
My suggestion:
1. all the recently selected instruments remain in the "instrument selector" (please make this a drop-down list box).
2. or/and even better: dynamically link the DOM to the active instrument chart you click on in the workspace, so manual switch among different instruments of your interest is avoided.
Thanks,
-k

Re: suggest: quick instrument selection in DOM window
Hello kernel,2. or/and even better: dynamically link the DOM to the active instrument chart you click on in the workspace, so manual switch among different instruments of your interest is avoided.
Linking DOM by Instrument functionality is available since MultiCharts 8.5.
Please update to the latest version of MultiCharts and follow this guide to learn how to use Linking DOM by Instrument feature.
