How many times should I reload the chart each morning?  [SOLVED]

We trade with these configurations:

- TS datafeed (9.1 build23).

- Four MC64 8.8 build 9189 running on Windows 2008 R2 with different strategy

- Each MC64 running three charts and they are:
@NQU14 800 tick bar with Intrabar
@NQU14 5min
$Tick 1min

- NQU14 5min and $Tick running ADE to provide trending info. for the strategy using @NQU14 800 tick to trade.


Recently all the 4 strategies got missing or extra trades because of either
-the INPUT parameter of the strategy OR
-the beginning date of @NQU14 got changed.

These issues can only be fixed by reloading the data again on the charts by pressing Ctrl-R. Here is my question. Can I just reload the data with only one MC64 rather then going to each of the instance of MC64 and reload them? It's like just reloading 3 charts vs 12 charts.

Does MC64 allow different instances to share the same Symbol database? If that is the case, I should only need to reload 3 charts rather then 12 charts then.

If you relaod the chart in one instance of MultiCharts - it will not rebuild the charts in the second instance. The optimal solution will be reloading charts in one of the instances, then re-opening the other instances/workspaces to pick up the reloaded data.

In that case, I will

1. Load one instance of MC64 first

2. Reload data on each of the charts on that instance

3. Load the rest three instances of MC64 without the need to reloading data again.

For certain this helps a lot.
