Help with IB

Hi all,

I just started to use MC with IB yesterday. Having two issues now...one, it will not load more than one bar for daily data (intraday it loads fine). I have all the parameters setup correctly, used to use TS so I am familiar. So now, I did upgrade to the latest TWS build 9462 and now I cannot launch MC from TWS. Ideas/help?

Hello stok,

Please follow the next steps:
  1. Downgrade to the version of IB TWS where you could launch MC from TWS without a problem.
  2. Close MultiCharts and all its parts
  3. Make sure all MC processes are ended in Windows Task Manager. Here you can find the list of all MC processes: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... _Processes
  4. Download an archive from here: for 32 bit MC or for 64 bit MC
  5. Unzip the archive.
  6. In the opened folder please run the Updater.exe
  7. Click on the Update button
  8. Scroll through the log window to make sure there are no errors
  9. Click Close button

Thanks Andrew. I downgraded to the previous version and now I can pull MC from TWS. I'm still having a problem with only loading 1 bar when I choose daily charts. I have my data reference all the back to the first of the year and have reloaded the data. Any insight?

Hi Andrew,

Yes, I downgraded TWS and now I can launch MC. I dl the 64bit updater and the attached screen shot is the error I am getting. I also repaired MC as Henry told me. So, right now I can run MC but any chart will only load 1-3 days of daily bars.

Are you sure your MultiCharts is 64 bit, not 32 bit? Please tell me the exact build number (Help -> About MultiCharts).
