Switching Off indicators and Retaining Values ?

Postby mobelby » 04 Oct 2014

Hi,

Thanks in advance for any help on this one.
I'd like to know if you can retain calculated values in an indicator when you switch it off (via the status line click) and then back on again a few minutes later.

I was wondering if a way to achieve this was via some form of global variable database but if anyone else has achieved this it would be great to know how.

The reason is my particular indicator includes various trendlines that can be dragged manually, with consequent effect on other lines in the indicator.

It would be nice to be able to turn it off (ie have a screen free of those lines) and then turn it back on later and have the lines appear in exactly the same place, including where I had manually dragged some lines previously before switching the indicator off.

Global Variables is amazing !

I can't believe how simple it was to achieve this by just creating a couple of globalvariables in the one indicator.

I assume they are held in GV memory until I exit MC.

This is great :)
