MC vs MC.net for indicator on indicator

Postby hilbert » 13 Oct 2014

Version 8.8 brought 2 similar but distinct changes in MC regular and MC.NET.
Indicator on Indicator was added for MC regular, whereas "objects of one study are accessible from another one" feature was added for MC.NET.

I understand "Indicator on Indicator", but do not understand the other feature. A clear and simple example that can explain what "objects of one study are accessible from another one" feature can do which "Indicator on Indicator" feature cannot do, will be very helpful. Thanks.

Hello hilbert,

In regular MC it has never been possible to reference another studies (indicators, functions) from code of main study. In order to allow our customers do this and base a study calculation on output values of another study, this feature was added.

In MC .NET you can do the same thing right from the code by calling object of the study you want your main code to be calculated on.
