How to Link Scaling of Multiple Indicators on a Subchart

Postby christephan » 04 Dec 2014

https://www.multicharts.com/pm/viewissu ... ch_queue=1

In this page, it says the feature is released with MC 9.0

But I can't make it work. Anyone knows how to use it?

Hello christephan,

You need to have the indicators' scaling set to "Same as instrument"
In this case when you change the scaling of the instrument - the scaling of the indicators will change accordingly.

Hi Henry,

If using "same as instrument", both oscillators are invisible. (Because price value is large and oscillators values are very small)

Reproduce step is easy. As described in the issue tracking system:
"Place two of the same screen scaled oscillators on a subchart with each having a different length setting. Notice the scaling of each indicator is unaligned instead of the two sharing the same scale."

For example,
Two MACD with different length (For example, one with default 12, 26, 9. Another with 24, 52, 18.)
You will see the two zero lines not lined up.
I don't snap a new snapshot because there is one in the issue tracking system already.

Hello christephan,

At the moment it works only for the indicators that have scaling set to "Same as instrument".
The status of the corresponding PM entry has been updated and the improvement suggestion has been forwarded to the management.
