I recently purchased .NET and i am in the process of setting things up.
Broker connection works, future data appears and is updated. Automated trading works.
I updated to version 9.0 Build 10362.
When i enter a trade manually, either on the chart or via the DOM, there is never a visual marker
where the trade is placed, not on the chart and not on the DOM.
Stoploss orders or limit orders never appear either after i enter them.
They are active however, they appear correctly in the 'order and position tracker' window.
In the 'format chart trading' settings, 'show historical orders' and 'show active orders'
are checked.
I tried both my MBTrading simulation and live accounts.
Is there another setting, somewhere ? I couldn't find it.
Unfortunately manual trading is not possible without these indications.
No positions are shown on charts nor DOM [SOLVED]

Re: No positions are shown on charts nor DOM
Thanks for your reply.
I tried your suggestion, but it does not help.
What i also find strange, is that i have to run the program as administrator, otherwise
the DOM keeps displaying 'waiting for data...' forever.

Re: No positions are shown on charts nor DOM
I have some more information.
Chart trading works perfectly on stocks, i tried PFE without any problem.
It does not work with futures.
For MBTrading i have to use a slash sign before the name (ex. /E7H5).
Is it possible that the manual trading part of Multicharts.NET does not handle this / character
correctly ?

Re: No positions are shown on charts nor DOM [SOLVED]
I solved the issue.
The problem was in the symbol mapping.
I had to remove the entries of the instruments where the manual trading was not working
and then add them manually again.
If your symbol mapping is not correct, the right-click menu on the chart does not have the
option 'place order'. This is the first indication that something is wrong.
The symbol mapping feature is accessed by right-clicking on the chart trading panel or the DOM.
