Interactive Brokers Reviews please

Postby wilkinsw » 14 Jan 2015

Hi,

I'm looking for the "best" solution from a broker providing both futures and fx trading with a solid level of reliability and minimal bucket shopness.

Tempted by MB trading. What is the Ram usage like on their standalone platform?

Or should I be looking at IB?

Around 24mb (if counting just the private bytes):

But you don't need to run MB Desktop in order to use MB Trading in MultiCharts. Actually, I thought this was not allowed/advised.

IB's TWS uses considerably more RAM if that's what you mean:

IB's TWS does need to be run in order to connect MultiChart to it.

That being said, memory is cheap so shouldn't really have to affect a broker's decision.
