Signals on Price chart without autotrading?

Is it possible to show a signal with no action? I do not want to autotrade.

Yes, if you add a signal to your chart without auto-trading on, it will still generate the buy/sell arrows for the real-time bars. (I'm not sure though if this also applies when the Chart Trader is also active).

Dumb question from a newbie -- how do I ensure that auto-trading is off?
When I look at the properties for the signal under the Auto-trading tab, I see that it is possible to require a confirmation dialog every time the signal is triggered, but this is not ideal.

I don't see any overall "disable autotrading" property for the signal.

I don't see any overall "disable autotrading" property for the signal.
When auto-trading is disabled, the SA or AA button in the top left of the chart is grey (the auto-trading status switch; see image below). When auto-trading is enabled, this button becomes green.

It's hard to accidentally enable auto-trading because you'll get a pop-up screen before auto-trading is enabled for a chart, like this:
