Re: Nice bugs in MC 9.0 r7
There's a long topic about that option here. More to the point, in an earlier thread, Henry said:Ok this not bugs, this is option - TWS bar timestamp.
Why need this option, if MC use other time system on close bar time ?
By the way, the wiki suggests:MultiCharts uses your PC clock time.
TWS uses its own server time.
You can use IB time for the bars:
Please go to QuoteManager->Tools->Data sources->IB->Edit->enable the option "TWS bar timestamp"
So it seems you don't need this option, unless you currently have problems with IB time data. But (from same thread as mentioned earlier):TWS bar timestamp.
It is not recommended to check this function to avoid possible problems with mixing session settings and missing bars on chart.
Have you tried syncing your PC clock?(...) it will be better to sync PC clock when MultiCharts is closed.
Re: Nice bugs in MC 9.0 r7
JoshM Thank you.
After by MC, I all time use MC with TWS bar timestamp, I want see bar generated on exchange time, not local my PC.
MC you really not transform TWS time system, to MC time system ( generate minutes timeframe on close bar time ) ?
Just now, I casually seen that all my historical data from IB damaged.
CRITICAL BUGS ! Or send original screenshot on BMT forum's ?

Re: TWS bar timestamp
TJ how NJ correct work's with IB, or how MC work's with Esignal or IQFeed and correct build minutes bar ?
MC build RT bars from tick's ( tick's, minutes... ), tick's have only one time bar -> time the tick's.
Historical minutes MC request from IB server, with " time start bar " and NEED ! transform to MC time system " time end bar ".

Re: TWS bar timestamp
Is the current EOB timestamp method perfect?
-------------------------------------------------------
TJ we work all time with delayed data Exchange -> Broker -> Internet -> PC
You can may mark tick's with local PC time, and thinks that RT data. Problem not in system time " Open bar time " or " Close bar time ", problem in correct transform time for current platform what you use.

Re: TWS bar timestamp
Hello TCust,
The "TWS bar timestamp" option under Historical data section you are referring to was added to work around the code breaking changes in bar timestamps IB API introduced in TWS builds 873, 874, 875. You do not need to use it at the moment as IB has resolved the issues they had in these TWS builds and the API is operating fine now.
For historical data IB API provides bar open timestamp which is being properly handled on our end to show the bar close timestamp.
If you have "Use server timestamps" enabled under the Real-Time section then the Time for "Trade" quote field is taken from IB servers. This option does not apply to Ask and Bid data for Forex symbols which always use PC time.
