Hello aurelispas,

When auto trading is initially started or restarted (after PC or MultiCharts/Portfolio Trader restart) in SA mode - the strategy position is flat (zero). If you have an open position at the broker and you want your strategy to continue trading this position - you need to feed the broker position to the strategy when you start the auto trading.

In MultiCharts 9.1 - right click on the Strategy in the Portfolio Tree-> Show properties-> Auto trading-> Assign the initial market position at the broker settings.
In case you trade this instrument using one strategy only you can select the option "Use the actual position at the broker".
In case you trade this instrument using multiple strategies you need to select the option "Show always". Once you start the auto trading - "Assign the initial market position at broker" window will appear for each strategy where you can manually specify the broker position for it.
