How do I capture the value of a Pivot?

Postby jkauwe » 04 Dec 2015

I am wanting to capture the value of a pivot so I can use it in an automated strategy but so far it looks like a condition. I know that the pivot function uses the value in a variable in the function but when I write my own pivot, it seems to plot at a different price than what the print statement reads.

How to capture value of a pivot

Postby jkauwe » 04 Dec 2015

can someone help me on how to capture the value of a pivot so that I may use it in a strategy? I know that the pivot function uses the value in the function and it appears its correct in the print statement, but when I plot the study on the graph the plot is way off.

Hello jkauwe,

The values on the scale are specific to the symbol or indicator plotted on the chart. In order to display the indicator's values please right click on the price scale of the chart and select the indicator that does the plot.
