User Data Backup Files...?

Postby datamonkey » 14 Jan 2016

Are the files that are related to the MC database the following and therefore the ones I need to copy for a backup?

- FBPORTFOLIO.GDB
- TSCACHE.GDB
- TSSTORAGE.GDB
- Dictionary & Dictionary.ucs2 excel files

I have seen the knowledge base page on this at https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... _User_Data but wanted to know the files I need as using the 'Run' prompt as suggested doesn't come back with anything on my machine...

Many thanks!

Yes, those are all the files. I think you might do without the 'TSCACHE' file, but to err on the safe side I always backup the whole 'Database' folder.

By the way, step 6 of recovering the database (from the wiki page) says:
6. Copy the DataBase folder with all its contents (..)
So if you backup the whole 'Databases' folder you're good to go. :)
