I was unable to get data to load from Openecry until I used a symbol that did not exist as part of the MC install. I created a couple of new symbols and they load data properly, but "built-in" symbols (such as ESH6, NQH6, etc.) just hang when loading charts. After I realized existing symbols were the problem I tried closing MC, going into QuoteManager and deleting the symbols, then going back into MC and creating them again (the way I'd created the new symbols such as MATIF Milling Wheat) but it still won't load data.
Any clue what's going on?
Thanks.
Dave

Re: Problems getting data from Openecry
I found the Event Log in QuoteManager and I see that for new symbols it makes a data request followed by a send:
However for ESH6 it only makes the request without a send:
(note the disconnect is when I disconnected manually after giving it a couple of minutes to try to load).
I verified in the dt Pro app that I can see and load ESH6 data there so it must be some setting but I have no clue which one. I do note for the new symbols it MC had me set up a new exchange, so that might be related.
Also just to note this is a brand new install of MC64 (latest version) I'm demo-ing with an eye to purchase if I can work out these issues and figure out alerts.

Re: Problems getting data from Openecry
I was adding them through the dialog directly in MC, which does a lookup to Openecry. However I just tried adding 6EH6 through QuoteManager and it has the same issue, it won't load data. However adding RLM-MH6 -- e-mini Russell 2000 works and loads data.

The symbol "6EH6" is used for March 2006 as well as March 2016.I was adding them through the dialog directly in MC, which does a lookup to Openecry. Make sure you have the correct description when adding the symbol.

Re: Problems getting data from Openecry
Unfortunately that's not it, you can see the expiration when you add the contract and it's 2016. Ugh very frustrating.

Re: Problems getting data from Openecry
Contacted support, they figured it out it was user error on my part. At some point I had entered credentials to another account that did not have access rights. There are two locations with credentials in them and they didn't match. Thanks so much to Katrin for the assistance!
