Problem with quotemanager database

Postby wegi » 05 Jun 2016

hi,

usually i make total backup of the database file (tsstorage.gdb, *.gdb files) to save my data.

I now have the problem, that i can´t switch back to an "older" database, quotemanger shows no symbols. the old databasefile where created with mc version: 9.0.10715
I updated to version 9.1.12587. Both 64 Bit. And the new version 9.1 does not work with the old database files. My databasefile is around 8GB!

Is there a way to convert the database files?
I know, i can install the old version and export any symbol, but since there is no way to export all symbols from the command line, i prefere to copy the database files.

Thx, Wegi

Is there a way to convert the database files?
The tool that's used to reduce the database size can also convert the database files. See how to reduce database size (you'll need to use the MultiCharts 9.1 download link to update the database from 9.0 to 9.1).

Don't forget to create at least one backup of the original database file!

Hello wegi,

Did you run DataUpdater.exe from the MultiCharts installation folder after replacing the databases files?

I can´t download the gbak.zip from this page:
https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... abase_Size

It is on a dropbox Folder: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/279 ... ak_9.1.zip
And Dropbox says: Account is generating to much traffic, blocked

Can you provide an different link please?
