certain Symbols for ETFs and stocks in IB not working in MC although available in Quotemanager

Postby dahmen walter » 28 Nov 2016

Hello,

I am having trouble with a few ETFs from Exchange Smart in IB refering to ARCA exchange. These are XLF and XLB while all other ARCA related Symbols work as expected (e.g. XHB, XLE, XLI, XLP, XLV, XLY). In IB TWS XLF and XLB work perfectly whereas an error message not subscribed appears in Quote Manager.

In addition there is a problem with Stock Names in IB witha blank inside. The symbols affected so far are "BRK B" for BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY INC DEL and RDS A for ROYAL DUTCH SHELL PLC - both can be found and added in Quote Manager and are available in TWS but they cannot be used to create charts in Multicharts - No data is reported after Establishing connection in both cases.

I am on MultiCharts64 Version 9.1 Release (Build 12587).

Can anyone find a solution for these problems? Thank You in advance.

Thank you TJ - the sub-topic for the Stocks with the blanc inside the name was in part cured with the modified root setting - data are collected now but no backfill takes place despite clearing of cache and reloading and restarting of quotemanager. However after the sequence clear cache - delete all data - delete symbol and manually recreating the symbol everything works as it should.
Now only the ETF issue needs a solution. Hopefully it was already an issue for another user who was able to find a solution.
