Feature Request: Trading view-style chart scroll and zoom

Postby pythagoras » 10 Mar 2018

The TradingView-style scrolling and zooming, where vertical scrolls expand the bar width & spacing while horizontal scrolls pan, is SO much faster and more fluid than the clunky MultiCharts toolbar navigation buttons for panning and bar spacing expansion. Since you're the same company as behind TradingView I would think this would be an easy improvement for MultiCharts.NET! This is really important for zooming out to get a feel for larger timescale context.

Hello, pythagoras,

It’s already realized in MultiCharts – you can change scale by dragging Price/Time Scale. Here is how to do it:
- Position the mouse pointer over the time scale; hold the left mouse button and drag the pointer to the right or to the left;
- Position the mouse pointer over the price scale; hold the left mouse button and drag the pointer up or down.

Please refer to the following article for more information:

But I don't want to do it with mouse drags I want to use the trackpad scroll and/or pinch zoom gesture.

Hi, pythagoras,

Thanks for your feedback, it has been forwarded to the dev team and may be added to our to-do list for one of the future versions.
