I'm trying to use range bars in MC my version is 2.1.999.999...
is there any reason why I'm having so much trouble it crashes my system when I ty to use point interval?

Yes, the reason why you have problems with plotting range (point) bars in 2.1.999.999 is because Min Movement is not factored in. To plot 4-point bars, you would need to enter the value = 4xmin.movement. For example, if you want to plot 4-point bars for ES-mini that has min.movement = 25, you would need to enter 100 in the symbol resolution field. Otherwise the values that you enter are too small which results in too many bars being generated which in its turn causes MultiCharts to crash.I'm trying to use range bars in MC my version is 2.1.999.999...

MultiCharts 3.0 does not have this problem. To plot 4-point bars you would simply need to type in 4 in the symbol resolution field.
