There is a lot of "Interactive Bokers TWS warning message: Max number of tick-by-tick requests has been reached." after install Release 6.

I also have the same issue that Watchlist's DateTime stop updating while chart is still moving.

Yesterday I've installed R6 and during the morning 2 times all my quotes on DAX futures stopped to work and update creating a delay of about 1 hour (I use CQG datafeed ). I've uninstalled release 6 and reinstalled R5 and all started to work well as usual.
Please check the upades on CQG datafeed

CrazyNasdaq, we were unable to replicate it with CQG data feed on our end, but we will continue testing it.

Dear users,

We are removing MultiCharts 12 Release 6 from the website until the IB realtime data issue receives a solution. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm trying to remove R6 and the installer won't take me to the remove menu- gets stuck and says "install package could not be opened". (I tried twice-even re-booted before the second attempt).
I'll try again tomorrow.
Can I remove R6 with the windows uninstaller instead of re-running the MC6 install program?

sptrader, this is the same procedure using the same file. If you still have the issue you can come to the live chat for the assistance, or wait for the updated installer that is coming in a few days.

The program runs fine for what I need right now, so I'll just wait for the new installer.

if I try to run the R6 installer program again, it locks up and can't continue.

I installed the new version and tried this script by copying the DLL to the MC64 installation path. He tells me he can't find the DLL, did I make a mistake or is he a bug of the latest version? I am attaching the site from where I got everything including the DLL

CQG chart locks after a while. DOM recieve quotes and is live, while CQG charts after a while stucks and there is no way to unlock the chart. The only way is to close all the MC platforms and sessions and to open again all new sessions. This happends 3 times during this morning and it was the same even with the previous MC 12 Release 6
With MC 12 R5 this behaviour happends hardly ever.
With MC 12 R6 this is the 6th times in 2 days
Attached there is a short video of this bug

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjQe18m ... e=youtu.be

I've reverted to MC 12 R5

fibdax, you need to make sure you have the proper DLL for the version you are running.
32bit DLL will work with MC 32bit only. 64bit dll is compatible only with MC 64bit.

If the file path is not explicitly specified in the study code then MultiCharts searches in its installation folder, then in the PATH environmental variable (Control Panel->System->Advanced System Settings->Environment Variables->User Variables).

If you still have the issue - you need to check the DLL dependencies, for example using Dependency Walker.
Most likely you do not have something required for your DLL present on the PC where you have the issue.

I think the problem is the 32 bit dll. Too bad I wanted to speed up the append.
Unfortunately I have no reference on the site to ask if it has a 64-bit version

Henry,

I am using MC 12 with Rithmic R|API+.

With both versions of MC12 R6 I have experienced total freezes of MC on three different machines with all MC windows/charts going to pale white. The freezes appeared out of the sudden after some time connected to Rithmic. After rebooting and starting again MC12 R6 there was no crash report to be sent. Rolling back to MC 12 R5 everything is back to normal and stable.

Best

Just wanna say Thanks!
Days back to running MC 12R1, it's hang, high CPU usage opening wsp, and wire indicators display...etc.
After V12R6 installed, it's super! No more high CPU, quicker wsp opening(indicators calculation) than it was used to be(MC11, MC10...etc)
very nice job! :D :D :D

a little problem however, where can I find "as default" check box in the Format Window when I wanna disable "show session breaks" as default? :?:

MultiCharts 12.0 Build 18038 (x64)
OS: Windows 10 Pro + Windows Server 2019 Standard

Even simple indicators to write values into a txt-file every minute fail after Multicharts upgrade from build 17586 to 18022 and 18038. They wrote the values in an unpredictable frequency after the upgrade. I'm defining kernel32.dll in the scripts. Thought a full recompile of all the scripts would help, which was not the case. After reverting to build 17586 back again, all went well again and runs fine since.

Peter, based on the description - we have fixed it in builds 18037 (x32) / 18038 (x64). You need to make sure you are running this latest build. If the issue still happens on it - please send us the logs and dumps for the analysis without closing any windows / ending any processes manually:
Go to Windows Start menu->All programs->MultiCharts64->Feedback.
Select these options:
- Attach a screenshot;
- Attach log files to help us understand what happened;
- Attach minidump for crash analysis;
- Upload collected data to Help Desk.

bucks, it is still there under Format Window->Background tab. Are you missing it at the bottom of this window? Are you using increased DPI settings in your OS?

Henry,

thank you for the hint. The freeze problem happend with builds 18002 and 18022. Somehow I had missed the release of builds 18038 and 18040...

With the latest version of MC12 R6 no problems yet.

FileDelete seems to be broken in R6. I am writing out csv files and my code deletes the old file before writing the new one. The end result is the new data is being appended to the old data.

This is a deal breaker for me. I only upgraded yesterday but I am rolling back.

Kind regards,

Alex

Edit: Rolled back and everything is working again.

This issue has been confirmed and will be fixed in the next update. It happens if you have not yet added any lines to this file since the last platform restart. If you did so within the current application session - FileDelete works as expected.

I discovered that the frozen chart / data issue usually occurs when MC is started before the market opens. Can anyone try this? It happened to me last week with build 18038. The frozen chart / data issue seems to be a general issue, regardless of the broker. My broker is GAIN Capital. This is a serious issue.
