With the new TWS Build 978.c i get a "Connecting to TWS failure" error message around every 4 minutes. Any solutions ?

Your TWS settings may have been reset. Please follow the IB Data feed connection guide to configure it:

It seems like a custom future of @CL caused the error requesting data for a previous expiration date.

After deleting the CL chart the error messages are gone.

This issue has been fixed in MultiCharts 12 Release 8:It seems like a custom future of @CL caused the error requesting data for a previous expiration date.
Interactive Brokers: rectified the issue with receiving historical data for continuous futures if the instrument was added to the database when the previous contract was active.

the connection to TWS v10.14 works without problems, but to v10.15 is acknowledged with error message. The necessary settings have been made. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello signalworks,
Please try unchecking the "Launch Trader Workstation at Start" box in the IB data feed and broker profile settings.
Then restart MultiCharts and IB TWS and check the connection.

Please double-check the IB data feed and broker profile settings just in case:
1. “Socket port” should be the same in IB TWS and MC
2. “Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients” in IB TWS should be checked
3. “Read-Only API” in IB TWS should be unchecked
4. “Send API messages in English” in IB TWS is checked (if IB TWS current language is set to any language except English)
Also, when connecting please check the IB TWS to see if there are any prompts/pop-ups.
If the settings look good, there are no messages in IB TWS, but the issue is the same, please send us logs via the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Feedback.
In the description field kindly leave a link to this forum thread.
Then please select the options:
Attach a screenshot;
Attach log files…;
Upload collected data to Help Desk;
uncheck other options and click Send.
