plotting ohlc multiple sessions

Postby O66 » 25 Jun 2020

Hi,

i'm using a session template with 2 sessions per day.

session 1 is from 22:30 - 15:30 (overnight in local time)
session 2 is from 15:30 - 22:15

i like to plot high and low from session 1 in session 1 and the following session 2
(it stays fixed as soon session 2 starts)

i like to plot high and low from session 2 in session 2 only

i like to plot open from session 2 in session 2 only

i like to plot close from previous day session 2 in todays session 2

so i end up with an overnight chart (session 1) with:

high and low
and close of previous session in overnight session

and in session 2 chart i have

high and low from session 1
high and low from session 2,
open from session 2
and close from previous session 2.

is there an indicator available that can do this?

thanks

Hello O66,

There are no built-in indicators to achieve that. You can plot multiple data series with different session templates on one chart: one with overnight session, one with afternoon session and the third one with both, and query the necessary data from the corresponding data series.

You can also create a study that works with sessions directly. Please check out the following keywords: SessionStartDay SessionStartTime SessionEndDay SessionEndTime SessionCount.
