Quandl support is neat.

Unfortunately installing this on top of my previous beta build seems to have invalidated most of my indicators and signals. Functions are okay. They all have little yellow exclaimation marks in PowerLanguage .NET Editor and triggering a recompile gets a status bar message of "Build Started..." but nothing happens, no CPU usage, etc. Turned anti-virus off.

visual basic .out file:

Code: Select all

Microsoft (R) Visual Basic Compiler version 14.8.3752 for Visual Basic 2012 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. This compiler is provided as part of the Microsoft (R) .NET Framework, but only supports language versions up to Visual Basic 2012, which is no longer the latest version. For compilers that support newer versions of the Visual Basic programming language, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=533241 C:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\vb_Bollinger_Bands_Area.Indicator.VB(92) : warning BC42030: Variable 'BarsToRedraw' is passed by reference before it has been assigned a value. it seems to be upset about this region of code that was bundled with MultiCharts:

(vb_Bollinger_Bands_Area)

Code: Select all

Dim BarsToRedraw As Bar() context.Environment.Bars.Get(DrPleft.Time, DrPRight.Time, BarsToRedraw)

c# .out output:

Code: Select all

This compiler is provided as part of the Microsoft (R) .NET Framework, but only supports language versions up to C# 5, which is no longer the latest version. For compilers that support newer versions of the C# programming language, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=533240 c:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\Test_DataLoader.Strategy.CS(9,24): warning CS0169: The field 'PowerLanguage.Strategy.Test_DataLoader.buy_order' is never used c:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\StandardDollarMove.Indicator.CS(15,18): warning CS0169: The field 'PowerLanguage.Indicator.StandardDollarMove.correction_multiplier' is never used c:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\_BetterVolumePB.Indicator.CS(57,16): warning CS0414: The field 'PowerLanguage.Indicator._BetterVolumePB.PaintBars' is assigned but its value is never used c:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\SortinoRatio.Function.CS(21,18): warning CS0414: The field 'PowerLanguage.Function.SortinoRatio.m_prev_equity' is assigned but its value is never used c:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\StudyServer\Techniques\CS\Volatility_Levels.Indicator.CS(23,51): warning CS0169: The field 'PowerLanguage.Indicator.Volatility_Levels.Plot5' is never used
But these are all just warnings and don't explain the lack of compilation. The .err files are empty.

The settings window for Quandl took about 2 minutes to open on the first run in QuoteManager. It looks like it fetched some data and put it in `C:\ProgramData\TS Support\MultiCharts .NET64 OpenBeta\Quandl\Cache` but the user experience on that is confusing since we get no feedback about what it's doing, a progress bar or something would help. Subsequent clicks are instant, even after program restarts, so looks like its just a first time thing.

MultiCharts.NET.14.0.20947.400_Release_x64 is still buggy. I have to roll back to MC12.NET. The issues are
- Symbol link randomly broken.
- Study randomly error after change symbol by .csy command line.

After upgrading to 14.0.20947, it requires userid/passwords, however when trying forum, project and registration userids/passwords, but none of the three worked. What is going on? Same problem for both MC and MC.NET. I had to go back to version 12.

Later when I contacted support they mentioned that my accounts were moved to a different servers. So problem solved! :)
