OANDA - UNABLE TO CONNECT TO NETWORK LOGON DEMO

Dear MC Support,

I have been using MC since last year.

I have a demo account with OANDA, and in the past it was very straightfwd to connect to it and get access to historical FX Data.

Aftre a few months of not using the platform i tried connecting to OANDA, the usual way but i get the following error: 'Impossible to connect to OANDA trading system'

Please see snapshots and the steps taken, and kindly advise if i am doing smthg wrong or if the process has changed somehow for OANDA demo accounts.

Step 1. Open MC platform

Step 2. Connect to OANDA Network logon Demo

Step 3. Click allow

Receive error messages as per attachment files..

Please advise,

Hello siou83,

We need to investigate your issue on our end.
When the issue is reproduced please send us logs via the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Feedback.
Please select the options:
Attach a screenshot;
Attach log files…;
Include Backup of Logs...;
Snapshot of the current MC setup;
Open workspaces…;
Data for active instruments…;
Upload collected data to help desk;
uncheck other options and click Send.

We will do our best to figure it out as soon as possible.

Dear All,
I have a pretty similar problem here. I was forced to change my broker (based on Brexit) and therefore wanted to test OANDA. But I cannot connect within the QuoteManager. It is always coming back with the failure message: "Login failed".

Using the same credentials directly at OANDA, it works.

Can you help me?

Try to renew the tokens through the following route:
QUOTEMANAGER ---- TOOLS --- DATA SOURCE --- and select OANDA, then later select if you want simulated or real

Facing the same isseue. "'Impossible to connect to OANDA trading system". Tried the above option but did not work. Does anyone have success in fixing this error?

Same issue here, I tried renewing the tokens - but that did not work...> QUOTEMANAGER ---- TOOLS --- DATA SOURCE --- and select OANDA
(it's been working fine for several years)

Dear users!

There have been some changes implemented on OANDA server side due to which there occurred issues with OANDA demo account connection in MultiCharts. We have been cooperating with OANDA to find out the way to fix it, and our dev team is already working on a hot fix for it.

Issue Fixed! Here is how to get you Oanda Demo Account back up & Running / My Live Account is Up & Running just sign in as usual.

As for the OANDA issue, the dev team has built an updater for OANDA demo accounts.
Please download the updater for MultiCharts from this link:

Follow the updater installation instruction: https://www.multicharts.com/trading-sof ... an_Updater

When the updater is downloaded, right click the archive -> Properties -> check Unblock in the bottom of the window.

We have run multiple tests for this updater and it should resolve the latest issue with OANDA demo account.

Thank you MultiCharts development team for the quick fix for the Oanda logon change!

The updater does allow correct connection to the broker and backfills for me.

However; this fix causes MultiCharts version 12 to become unresponsive to window click requests. I get it that the file name has 14X64 but there are those people using 12 and might accidentally load it. So, I thought I should mention it for the benefit of us who are not paying attention. :P

Hello rrams,

All the fresh updaters posted are suitable for the latest build versions of MultiCharts since technically it is not possible for us to release hotfixes for all the previous versions (taking into consideration the previous versions of MultiCharts .NET as well).

For testing purposes our dev team has also built the updater for OANDA demo accounts for MultiCharts 12 Release 14, you can download this one.
Please note that in your case it will be required to run the repair of MultiCharts first to remove the updater for MC 14 and only then install the one for MC12.

To run a repair, go Windows Start -> Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> MultiCharts -> Uninstall -> select Repair.
