Multicharts.Net on VPS, Which version of Windows server

Postby Bentley Wilburforce » 01 Dec 2020

Hi,

I am looking to use Multicharts.Net 14 on a vps. My VPS provider offers Windows server 12, 16 and 19. Is there any reason why I should choose one version over another?

Thanks

BW

Choose Windows 2012 R2, less troubles and faster than the others.
I'm managing an hosting company focused in VPS for trading purposes (and only trading purposes, no web servers, game servers, email servers, ...) and we'll stick to 2012 R2 as long as we can.
Newer Windows version have a more painful updates management (it's always nice to have an unplanned restart in a middle of a trade!), a mandatory antivirus (which is useless and use CPU resources for nothing), ...

Hi Sam, what about Windows 10 LTSC? Will it be a more stable, yet more update to date Windows to use as VPS server?
