When plotting an indicator on a sub graph and then you uncheck the STATUS box to disable it. The chart still displays the space for the indicator, please refer to TS to see how this is supposed to properly work.
BTW this has been a bug as far back as ver 9
BEFORE WITH STATUS CHECKED
AFTER WITH STATUS UNCHECKED
Bug: Plotting indicator leaves a ghost when status unchecked.

Re: Bug: Plotting indicator leaves a ghost when status unchecked.
Hello Mark Brown,
This is the designed behaviour, it was made this way so that an indicator could be turned on again.
Here’s what you can do:
1. In the main MultiCharts menu please select File -> Preferences -> go to Misc tab.
2. In the Charting section uncheck the “Enable the Status switch for indicators in the status line” box.
3. Open your workspace again.
4. The indicator can now be turned off by unchecking the Status box in the Format Study window.

please refer to ts to see how this should work properly - when you uncheck the indicator it should not leave a blank space that is the correct way to do it.Hello Mark Brown,

Mark: If you follow Kate's instructions it will work the same as TS.
"In the main MultiCharts menu please select File -> Preferences -> go to Misc tab,
. In the Charting section uncheck the “Enable the Status switch for indicators in the status line” box.
3. Open your workspace again.
4. The indicator can now be turned off by unchecking the Status box in the Format Study window."
This annoyed me when I saw that happen too. (several years ago) before I stumbled onto the option to turn it off.

What is your intention?
1. To remove the indicator from the chart?
2. To temporarily suspend the indicator from the chart?

my intention is for it to do EXACTLY what TS doesWhat is your intention?

just like MC calling a tick a point they have made a mistake with disabling an indicator
ANYONE would know when you uncheck an indicator the space it left on the chart would need to go with it.
tj are you in charge of platform design cause if you are you need to step aside and let me take over. or you need to spend 30 years using ts.

I am not an employee of MultiCharts.[snip] . . .

I have nothing to do with the design or programming of MultiCharts.
I am a user; I paid for my MultiCharts just like everyone here.
You can see the date I joined this forum (Joined: Aug 29, 2006).
Before that I was using TS 4.0.
Before that I was using TS x.0
Before that, I was using SuperCharts . . .
Before that, I was using Telex . . .

I also had TickTrader (and a bunch of other software) before they were sold/merged/disappeared.

Hello Mark. If you follow instructions given by Kate and sptrader then all the problems you mentioned get solved. The indicator does not take any space at all either in subchart or at the top. Thanks to your query I got to know about this too. Please don't mind but Mr. TJ is the most helpful and senior member of this group. You should not get frustrated so easily.
