Avoid manually adding instruments?

On TS data, I have to manually add each instrument before it is recognized. Is this always required?

Hello tpredictor,

In MultiCharts symbols can be added manually or from the data vendor supplied list.

If that doesn't help, please describe your issue in more detail.
