Crypto brokers

Postby Sireal » 24 Jan 2022

Hello,

I have an automated strategy for Bitcoin that has been working surprisingly well in backtesting and forward testing (couple months now). The problem is I would like to automate trading with a broker, due to it's trade times I have it set up for, while I'm normally sleeping. I'm in the US so that eliminates any built in brokers that I may have been able to use. From what I can discern my only option might be to use TS since the code "should" be compatible. If anyone has found / figured out how to autotrade crypto using MC or it's code on another platform I would be greatly appreciative. Another thing that might be an issue if having to use TS with MC code would be IOG, I have no experience with TS so I don't know if it has something similar or not. Thanks

It would appear that MC has no crypto support whatsoever for US citizens. Had I known about the limited broker support I doubt I would have purchased MC until they had at least one spot broker we could use. Come to think of it, Forex broker support for the US is pretty thin as well. That's my fault for not checking it out a bit better, although I will say I've learned a lot about strategy building and algo trading with it so far. I can only assume it's difficult to add API brokers. If that's the case then I can understand some of the lagging support.

Hello Sireal,

There's no ETA yet, but we're working on implementing Kraken Spot in the nearest future.

Interactive Brokers recently started Crypto trading. You have to request permission to trade it.
I don't trade it, so I can't say much about it. (But I did get permission to trade it).

I have crypto in interactive brokers, but I can't seem to add symbols in MC.
for example BTC crypto in IB, how do I get that in MC?

Hi,

At the moment it is not available, our development team is considering implementing IB crypto support in one of the future releases.
