Frequent Disconnections from the TS datafeed

Hello everyone, unfortunately, I experience frequent disconnections from the datafeed from TS and when it happens I have to close both the TS and MC and run them again.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Is this something MC guys can take care of?

Hello Leo,

Which build of MultiCharts do you have installed? Please check it in Help > About MultiCharts.

Please also specify what exactly you mean by "disconnections". Do you mean real-time data stops updating or perhaps the whole data feed connection fails, including adding symbols through Quote Manager > Instrument > Add symbol > From data source > TS?

Did you notice anything particular that was done before the issue started?

Hello Tammy,

I've just installed MultiCharts64 Version 14.0 Release (Build 23013), thus I don't know if this problem occurs even with this newer version but it happened with several previous versions.

Real time data stops updating, thus I added an indicator on one chart which sends an alert when this happens, otherwise, I cannot realize that the datafeed has stopped until I watch my charts.

He Leo,

Please install the latest hot fix for MC14 build 23013.
Please follow these steps to install it:
1. Download the updater using this link.
2. When downloaded, right-click the archive -> Properties -> check Unblock at the bottom of the window.
3. Then use this instruction to install the updater.

If the issue is reproduced after that, please send us logs via the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Feedback.
In the comment section please specify when the data stopped.
Please select the options:
Attach a screenshot;
Attach log files…;
Upload collected data to help desk;
uncheck other options and click Send.
