What/Where are MC`s limits???  [SOLVED]

Hi there,

what is your experience, where are the limits of MC?
I recently notice, that my MC has issues, processing at high volume times. I use LMAX and IQFeed as second data stream and arround opening time (also at other times) of the S&P, data cant be processed correct, in form of, my first or second candle on a 5min chart, ends after 7 or 8min.
I calculate my own term structure curve/spreads, so there are like 30 instruments running (most daily bars), but only a few tick based(volume etc.).
Or is it a IQFeed problem?

In generall, how does your setup look like, if you want to trade even more than just one market....with all those instruments needed as input?

Is there anything I can do?

To make the discussion meaningful,
You need to specify your computer set up, RAM, Ghz? number of cores?
your internet bandwidth, how many people are sharing your internet?
your router make and model, are you using mesh?
what is your distance to your broker? What is your ping time.
Yes, have you checked your ping time?
How many hops?

IQFeed Diagnostics tells me that I actually have a ping in avg of 130, so I`ll see what I can do and come back to this thread.

Hi TJ,

problem solved.
I did some more testing and had the idea to check IQFeed Time and Sales, if the candles are lagging there to.... and they did, so it had nothing to do with MC.
Then I remembered that I have a file sync running via Onedrive. turned that off and no more lagging candles.
But, numbers in IQFeed Diagnostics still where the same....interesting. A day later I got faster internet, now there is now lagging even with Onedrive....and numbers in Diagnostics are still the same LOL.... so whatever they actually measure - still a Ping of 300ms and 17 Hops with really low 2 digit ms-values for the lower ones and really low 3 digits ms-values for the higher Hops From Germany to IQFeed.

So all about the Transferrate - old 50MBit, now 250MBit
