Volume profile data in Easylanguage
Volume profile data in Easylanguage
As far as I know, volume profile data (such as Valuearea High/Low/Poc) can only be accessed with the .NET version to do programming, right? Is it planned to make such functions also available in easylanguage?

Re: Volume profile data in Easylanguage
Hi JoshD,
Volume Profile data is not accessible in PowerLanguage (it is accessible in .NET version). It is not planned to change it in the nearest future.
In PowerLanguage one can access TPO. Please refer to our wiki section devoted to TPO reserved words.
Here is the documentation and examples for accessing this type of data on .NET:

Re: Volume profile data in Easylanguage
Greetings,
as you wrote above the current MC version does not provide access to the Volume Profile in easylanguage. MC engineers while we are waiting for the new release, could you write and share the function in order to use it to be able to create strategies and indicators in easylanguage? Thank you.

Hi mc Teams,
could you post the function so we are able to create the indicator of Volume Prodile?
Is there anyone that built a volume profile indicator?

The request was forwarded to the developers. They will add it in the to-do-list, if possible.

Hello,
This inquiry was forwarded to the dev team as a feature request. It is not a trivial task. The developers aim to add it in one of the future versions depending on the workload. I am afraid, there is no ETA yet.

Re: VWAP profile data in Easylanguage
Can you please add a 'working' accurate multiday VWAP to MC.
If there is a problem with Easy Language then add it to MC NET
VWAP.reset does not work well, it is a mash up and cannot be used for multi-day
Most institutional algos use VWAP to set buy/sell points.
If MC professes to be a professional Product it should have a working VWA indicator, I don't appreciate having to pay Trading View extra to get a working version, having paid for MC.

This thread contains the discussion of Volume Profile data accessibility in PowerLanguage code. The request is not related to the thread, because VWAP reset is a pre-built indicator.
MultiCharts is a trading platform that comes with a number of pre-built indicators. Mostly they were provided as a reference. If a pre-built script does not suit your needs, software allows to modify it, or create a new custom script, or purchase a study from third-party developers and import.
Re: Volume profile data in Easylanguage
I agree VWAP reset is not a VWAP, but just an average... it should be removed since it is wrong and misleading
