Order list exportation

Postby fcogneaux » 21 Oct 2022

Hello,
I'm used to extract the orders listed in the "Order" tab of the "Order and Position Tracker Windows" by using the "Export to Excel" option of the context menu which creates a text file that I save to parse it afterwards.
Those information seem to be stored in "idx/bin" files, under the [OPT data]\Storage\strategy_orders folder.
Can those files be read directly by any common database program/driver - or is their binary format released somewhere - in order to automatize the extraction process?
Thanks!

I would expect MC tech support to have a reader app for that. Whether they will release it to the public is another matter.

Hello fcogneaux and syswizard!

Internal Order and Position Tracker files cannot be read by a 3rd party program.

Yes, that would be MultiCharts :)
There are no other special/separate programs to do that.

Hello fcogneaux and syswizard!

Internal Order and Position Tracker files cannot be read by a 3rd party program.

If you'd like to interact with the OPT files outside of MultiCharts, please post your feature requests at our Project Management.
