IBKR QQQ automated orders rejected

Hi,

I use Multicharts64 connected with a simulated IBKR account to test the automation of the systems.
The instruments used are CFD's of ETF's (Spreads).
My problem is the following:
When the instrument is the CFD of "QQQ" Multicharts does not recognize it and changes it to "QQQn" so the automatic orders are rejected by the TWS.
In "Symbol Mapping" if "QQQn" does not exist, it creates it. If I delete it, it recreates it again.
With the rest of the instruments SPY/DIA/IWM/VUG etc., there is no problem and no order is rejected.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Hi Azoth,

Please close your workspaces for the problematic symbol, delete incorrect symbol mapping lines and make sure there’s no QQQn symbol in your symbol list in QuoteManager. Symbols can be deleted by right-clicking -> Delete Symbol.

If the symbol mapping lines for QQQn still get created, please follow these steps to clear IB symbol cache:

1. Close all the charts with the problematic symbols
2. Re-add these symbols in QuoteManager -> Instrument -> Add Symbol -> From Data Source
3. Go to File -> Broker Profiles -> Symbol Mapping -> IB -> delete symbol mapping lines for problematic symbols (‘Remove’)
4. Go to the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Support -> Open Logs folder
5. Close all the MultiCharts components
6. Delete DAT files starting with IB in the Logs folder (see step 4)

I have followed all the instructions and in principle the QQQn symbol did not appear again in Quote Manager or in Symbol mapping.
But when making a purchase of QQQ in TWS, the purchase appears as QQQn on the Orders&Positions screen.
The proposed solution does not seem to work.
Any other option?

Hi Azoth,

Please double-check your symbol mapping. There should be only one line per CFD.

If it doesn’t help, please reproduce the behaviour and send us a report via the main MultiCharts window -> Help -> Feedback.
In the description field please specify your IB TWS version. You can find it in IB TWS -> Help -> About TraderWorkstation.
Please select the options:
Attach a screenshot;
Attach log files…;
Snapshot of the current MC setup;
Open workspaces…;
Upload collected data to Help Desk;
uncheck other options and click Send.
