BIG BUG: mismatch of the optimization result with the backtest

Postby andreinvest » 07 May 2023

There are no matches for the results from the optimization with the result from the backtest, when setting the selected parameters, after the optimization.

i've already restarter Multicharts, and when it was not helped, i've restarted a computer, anyway useless

see pics attached

Hello andreinvest,

Can this behaviour be reproduced with any of the pre-built signals?

If not, you’ll need to work with your strategy to understand what might be causing it.
For example, it might be expected for scripts that use drawings, which are not not taken into account during optimization.

Also, such discrepancies might be expected if you use Global Variables.
If you do, you might try using only one thread during optimization. It might slow the process down a bit, but might improve the calculation processing.
