Move Multicharts to another computer

Postby weitau » 20 Oct 2009

I use more than 1 computer for trading. I'd like to be able to copy my Multicharts configuration and data to another computer. What is the best way to do this? Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Hi weitau.

In windows XP go to Documents and Settings/ your username or All Users (depending on how did you install XP)/ Application Data/ TS Support/ Multicharts/ and copy Databases and StudyServer Folders.

Than paste them to the new computer.

Remember to paste them to the same exact folder where Databases and StudyServer are in the new computer.

Also remember that in windows Vista, Multicharts install this in another area. I don't remember exactly where, and I'm not near my laptop to confirm it to you.

If you have any problems with it, tomorrow I'll give the correct Vista location.

Regards,
Fernando

Fernando, I found the relevant files under my user name and in All Users. I use Windows XP. This is great, thanks!
