Auto Trading signals worked fine with IB simulation account. In Strategy Properties / Auto Trading / Broker Settings I set "Port" 7497 - just to be sure not to interfere with my "real" account (Port 7496).
When trying to trade the signals on my real account I set the port number to 7496. What happened was that the signal was still traded on the simulation account. I don't understand why.
The only hint I can give is, that a few minutes before I started Auto Trading (AT) with the real account and Port 7496 I started AT with another symbol and other signals on Simulation Account (Port 7497). Did this influence (terminate) my settings (Port 7496) on the other signals? In other words: Isn't MC able to handle 2 Port# simultaneously but overwrites selected Port# with that one of the first activated Auto Trade signal?
