Missing Historical Data eSignal datafeed

Postby burrman » 20 Aug 2010

Hi, I've been using MC for a couple of weeks now and have run into a problem.

All of a sudden my charts are showing missing bars? (I am using eSignal as a data feed). For example on a 1 hr NZD A0-FX chart, I load up 1,000 bars from today. Most of the historical data is aok, and the very latest/current bars are loading okay, however I'm missing all hourly bars between:
1) 12-Aug-10 19:00 and 19-Aug-10 22:00, and
2) 20-Aug-10 05:00 and 20-Aug-10 10:00... (FYI I'm submitting this issue today 20-Aug-2010)

When I examine the eSignal connection in Quote Manager, the "Real-Time Tick Server" status shows "online" , while all other "history" servers show "Offline" . See the attached screen shots for examples.

Can anyone help? Charting isn't much use with missing bars? Thanks in advance for any help?
Cheers, Dave

look under

File > Preferences > Data Server Mode

have you checked the box for "Download missing historical data" ?

THANKS A BUNCH!

... that fixed the problem! ...now I can enjoy my weekend!! :))
(I'm new to MC, and I just wasn't sure if it was something I'd messed up, or if there was some issue with eSignal or something else...anyways THANKS AGAIN!)
