what are the correct symbol settings for spot currencies, specifically eurusd and gbpusd?

Well, that depends of your data provider.

IB, eSignal, IQFeed, ZenFire,...?

i'm not using a broker yet. i purchased data separately.

OK. Is that data realtime or EOD?

Have you tried hitting F1 keyboard on MC and see what that say regarding symbol settings on QuoteManager?

Have you tried to watch the videos and see if they resolve yours issues?

Dear zumthor,

Correct symbol settings depend on the data source. If you have purchased your data in ASCII format you can try to do the following:

- Set BPV=1
- Set Price Scale according to the number of decimals in your file
- Set Min Movement according to minimum price increment in your file.

yeah it was 1 minute data that i purchased. i managed to get the correct settings eventually through some trial and error.
