Postby arjfca » 22 Mar 2011

Hello.
I'm not happy with IB forex data feed and I'm looking for another provider

Anybody is using Barchart for is forex data feed?
Is it possible to get tick volume?
My live account is with Interactive Broker. Any idea how close is the quotes compare to IB?
What is your cost?

Any information appreciated

I used the Barchart forex data for a while, but noticed abnormal spikes. I notified the barchart support of the issue, but that did not prevent the issue from re-occuring.

I am currently using Iqfeed and have not seen any such issue.

In the best scenario, I would rather use the Dukascopy feed, but this requires the integration of Jforex with MC, which does not currently exists, or a consequent account to have access to Dukascopy FIX api.

I have enclosed the snapshot I took back in december, and you can see those reccuring spikes towards 1.3900. I noticed such issue on several occasion while using barchart, and this was clearly an issue. As this is an aggregated feed, there is always the possibility that such bad ticks were actual small transactions passed in order to interfer with the feed. Who knows.
