Tickfiles ASCII Import from Tickdata.com

Postby wullenweber helmut » 09 Jul 2011

The tickdata files extracted with Tickwrite 7.1 from tickdata.com now include timestamps in milliseconds. Which time template will I have to use to import the shown dataformat?

Helmut,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to import ASCII files with milliseconds timestamps at the moment. You should change the contents of the file in Excel (remove milliseconds) in order to import it in the Quote Manager. You may want to post a feature request in the Project Management section of our website so other users can vote for it: https://www.multicharts.com/pm/

I was about to purchase millisecond data till I read this. Are we still unable to import this type of data into MultiCharts?

MultiCharts does not support millisecond data.

This is not just data that is not supported. Any calculations in PowerLanguage, even when ComputerDataTime (that produces millions of pulses every second) is used, are also limited/downgraded to 1 second precision. Correct me if I am wrong.
