Limit To [Offset] Values When Plotting?

Postby furytrader » 03 Jan 2012

In the MC documentation for the PlotN keyword, it gives the keyword parameters as:

Numerical: PlotN<[Offset]>(Expression <,"PlotName"<,PlotColor <,Scanner Cell Background Color <,LineWidth >>>>)

It notes that you can set an [Offset], so that the plot actually occurs either before or after the current bar (depending on whether the offset is positive or negative).

Does anyone know whether there is a limit to have far back the [Offset] can go? On a particular indicator I'm working with, the limit seems to be 98.

Does anyone know for sure?

Hi furytrader,

There is no limitations for [Offset].
The only thing you should take care of is the Maximum number of bars study will reference option in the Format Study window Properties tab.
Maximum number of bars study will reference should be enough for the [Offset].
